National Geographic Live! Comes to King College Prep

King College Prep becomes the second school in the country to host prestigious program.

The Field Museum has hosted National Geographic Live! programs for years -- Chicago has been fortunate to welcome lead photographers, researchers, paleontologists, and other experts to the Field Museum to bring the exhibits and "National Geographic" magazine to life.  Now King College Prep is fortunate to host these same guest presenters that share their talents, stories, and photos at the Field Museum.

The presentations that take place on Tuesday nights six times this school year at the Field Museum will travel to King College Prep the next morning.

This year's presentations are:

  • "Real Pirates -- The Story of the Whydah" with underwater explorer Barry Clifford
  • "From the Front Lines of Global Health" with photographer Karen Kasmuaski
  • "Polar Obsession" with photographer Paul Nicklen
  • "Africa Through the Lens" with Zimbabwe-born filmmaker Michael Davie
  • "Waking the Baby Mammoth" with paleontologist Daniel Fisher
  • "The Big Thaw" with photographer James Balog

Review the program below to learn more about these exciting programs.  The dates listed are for the Field Museum.  King College Prep will host the event the following day.
