in Knoxville, Tennessee. The finals are Wed 23-May-2012 to Sat 26-May-2012! Wish
them luck.
PSAE:
We had 100%
attendance for both PSAE days! Students felt good about the test and celebrated
with a cookout with faculty and staff on Wednesday afternoon.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTING:
Testing will
begin on May 8th. Please see the calendar on the King website for
more details
WORK PERMITS:
Is your student
planning to work this summer? Any student under the age of 16 will need to
obtain a work permit in order to do so.
The procedure for
this is:
1. The student needs to have a job offer (a
letter of intent to hire on company letterhead).
2. Bring in
a copy of their birth certificate, social security card and a current physical.
3. Be
accompanied by a parent to the counseling department to see Ms. Jones.
SENIOR PARENTS:
Tuesday May 1st
is college commitment day. Has your student decided where they will be
attending college in the fall? If not, have them stop by the Counseling department
to sign up to attend the HEAT College Fair on Friday May 4th. We
will email you with more information.
Seniors with
credit deficiencies have signed off on those deficiencies with the counseling
department this week. If you are the parent of a senior who falls in this
category and you have questions, please contact the counseling department at
773.535.1175.
Thanks for all
your kind words and your continued support of King. We will have a great end to
the school year.
